چکیده

This study was aimed to find out that broiler chicken farms have problems with antibiotic resistance Citrobacter freundii and determined the prevalence class 1 integron encoding gene. Multidrug collected from among one hundred sixty cloacal swab samples 32 in Blitar for 3 months. The method of bacterial inoculation used MacConkey agar biochemical test conducted by IMViC TSIA test. sensitivity pattern tested disk diffusion, multidrug gene PCR. exposed 160 samples, 13.75% (22/160) were positive freundii. showed high resistances against ampicillin erythromycin (77.27%), tetracycline (59.09%), trimetropim-sulfamethoxazole (50%), streptomycin (22.72%). Isolates detected as continued PCR testing prove existence a isolated 81.82% (18/22), indicated five Class Integron results this distribution high, so it can cause spread antimicrobial public health. found 22.72% It concluded need assessment management reduce avoid bacteria animals human. Therefore, use appropriate antibiotics is good step incidence MDR poultry.

Class 1 integron-associated tobramycin-gentamicin resistance in Campylobacter jejuni isolated from the broiler chicken house environment.

Using PCR, we screened 105 isolates of poultry-associated Campylobacter jejuni for the presence of class 1 integrons. Of those isolates, 21% (22 of 105) possessed the integrase gene, but only 5 isolates produced an amplicon in a 5'-3' conserved sequence PCR directed toward amplification of the resistance cassettes. DNA sequencing demonstrated that all five isolates possessed the aminoglycoside ...

Salmonella enterica serovar typhi strains isolated in Korea containing a multidrug resistance class 1 integron.

Six strains of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi which were resistant to ampicillin, chloramphenicol, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, streptomycin, tetracycline, and gentamicin were isolated in Korea. This multidrug resistance was transferred by a conjugative plasmid of about 50 kb. The plasmid harbored a class 1 integron, which included six resistance genes, aacA4b, catB8, aadA1, dfrA1, aac(6')...
